LISA LANGE

I've been working with clay for over 30 years, creating wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces using both stoneware and porcelain clay bodies. I love the tactile nature of working with clay, and the meditative rhythm of wheel-throwing. My goal is to combine art, craft and function, creating simple forms that focus on color, texture and pattern.

My husband Kevin and I found paradise in 2007 on San Juan Island in the Pacific Northwest. And, after flying cross-country several times a year, we moved from Washington, DC to the island full-time in 2016 -- moving from one Washington to another.  LOT 4 Studio is named after the piece of land we purchased in 2007 – it was ‘LOT 4’.

I have a fine art degree in sculpture, and a Masters in Communication.

I look forward to many years of creating on this beautiful island.
